ICPM Meatballs a hit at E4C Meatball Cookoff - who knew that Rick, Jim and Michelle were master chefs?  Their collaboration on a meatball recipe featuring items commonly used in Indigenous cooking in Northern Alberta took 2nd place at the recent E4C Ecumenical Meatball Cookoff fundraising event held at Ascension Lutheran Church.  Click here to access a copy of an article from the Boyle McCauley News reporting on their success!

Truth and Reconciliation in Action – our Oskapewis, Michelle Nieviadomy conducted a blanket exercise at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Edmonton on October 15, 2017.  A summary of the experience of the exercise conducted by Michelle was featured in an article in the March 2018 edition of Canada Lutheran.  Also featured in the article is a summation of a presentation at Hosanna on December 3, 2017 by the Hon. Celebrating 500 by Sharing 500 – Mt. Zion Lutheran in Edmonton celebrated the 500th anniversary of the Reformation by donating 536 pairs of new underwear and socks to ICPM for distribution in the inner city.  Mt. Legacy Room at Norquest College – our Indigenous Helper, Gord Holub was featured in an  article in the November 3rd, 2017 edition of Metro News on a new initiative at Norquest College, Edmonton.  The College is opening The Gord Downie and Chanie Wenjack Fund Legacy Room to provide a space to learn about residential schools and Chanie Wenjack, who was a 12 year old boy who died while running away from his residential school in 1966.  The room will be dedicated to starting conversations about reconciliation.  Click here to access a copy of the article.
